When we look at children with developmental delay we see unlimited possibilities! From experience we know that all of them can learn to succeed but not in the same way and not at the same time.

Children with intellectual disabilities/developmental delay are generally slow learners. They need to absorb and understand at their own pace. Early intervention helps them work toward meeting developmental milestones. Intervention is likely to be more effective when provided earlier in life rather than later. The connections in a baby’s brain are most adaptable in the first three years of life. These connections, or neural circuits, are the foundation for learning, behavior, and health. Over time, these connections become harder to change. Therefore, the earlier developmental delays are detected and intervention begins, the greater the chance a child has of achieving his or her best potential.

Sri Arunodayam is building a new, dedicated EARLY INTERVENTION RESIDENTIAL-CUM-REHABILITATION HOME for children up to 7 years old, so that they can receive undivided attention early on and make a better start in life!

This is a huge project and we cannot make it without your help! There is much to do commencing with building a child-safe, fully equipped, hi-tech early intervention center, and on boarding highly skilled human resources such as caregivers, physiotherapists, early intervention special educators, nurses, and other professionals.
